It’s a snow day here, and that means we are going to spend about two hours outside ‘shoveling’ the walkways (or my 8 year old son and I will shovel while my 14 year old daughter and niece supervise); playing in the snow, and cleaning up our mess. After that, we’ll go inside, get dry and warm and figure out what to do with ourselves. That will no doubt involve movies, blogging for me, and idle hand time for my son.
So today, I went to Tommy Nelson Kids, the Mommy and kids companion site to ThomasNelson.com and found some great download-able activities that would capture Elijah’s imagination for a few hours. We looked together and he chose to print Max Lucado’s The Tallest of the Small. Now, we’ve all got our warm and fuzzy inside clothes on, Elijah’s got the hot chocolate out, and the girls are picking movies.
Elijah’s got out his lap-desk and crayons and we’re all set for an afternoon inside.

Awww I should be snuzzled up with all of you. No warm and fuzzy stories here. Not even hot chocolate. Well enjoy the family.
Thanks Alisa! Too bad you’re not coming out in this cold – you could be snuggled right up with us!

Sounds like a lovely time, no snow over here at the moment. I hadn’t heard of the site until now, we like to snuggle up and watch movies as well as watching the snow fall outside.

No kiddos here and no snow, but I have to say that the site has so many neat things on it. I know where to go if I need kiddo time killers now

Oh that site is going to be a life saver on Monday! The kids have no school for teacher in-service! But I still have to work at home. So I need something to keep them occupied for a few hours so I can get my work done!
